Class is limited to 15 participants and will be held on the following dates: April 19, April 26, May 3 and May 10. Registration is for all four classes. Required materials for the class are below.

Materials List

  • Watercolor Block (Not a watercolor pad)  A block has glued down papers.

  • Minimum size 9 x 12. 140 lb (300 gm), cold press paper. Inexpensive. Canson “Montval” or Strathmore 400 series for example. (Utrecht has the least expensive). N.B. A loose sheet of paper will “cockle” making it difficult to work with.  When you come to a session use a watercolor block.

  • Paints. 8 to 10 ml student grade(inexpensive) tubes, preferred. Pans if you have them.

  • Ultramarine Blue,  phthalo blue, quinacridone red, lemon yellow, burnt siennna,

  • (Blick has a variety of brands)

  • Palette: Plastic or metal tray with wells to one side or surrounding a mixing area. The larger the mixing area the better (Blick has a variety) or a butcher's tray.
