Program Locations:

Stephen A. Schwarzman Building, Margaret Liebman Berger Forum

Update, 11:00am March 15th: We're no longer taking advance registrations, but we'll have room for walk-in guests so please join us!

Join crafty librarian Jessica Pigza of the Rare Book Division and Crafternoon author Maura Madden to celebrate  all the ways that libraries inspire creative work of all kinds!

Jessica's new book BiblioCraft: A Modern Crafter's Guide to Using Library Resources to Jumpstart Creative Projects will be hot off the presses (and available in the Library Shop). It's all about finding inspiration at the library (here at NYPL and beyond, all over the world). And on this day, we'll craft alongside some of the book's contributors--many of whose projects were inspired by NYPL collections (you can see the whole contributors list here).  And one contributor, Haley Pierson-Cox of The Zen of Making, will discuss how her love of hand lettering led her to design a giant cross stitch artwork for BiblioCraft. She'll then show us how to recreate her design in miniature on card stock.

This is a FREE event.
