Affordable Care Act, Financial Information, Money Matters: Health Care Reform: What It Means to You
October 18, 2013
There has been information and misinformation about what ObamaCare means for individuals and small businesses. There have also been thousands of pages of law and regulations written about it. The truth is, it means different things for different people. And no matter who you are, whether you have health insurance or not, it means something for you.
Audrey M. Diop, Director of Public Health Insurance Initiatives, Office of Citywide Health Insurance Access, discusses what ObamaCare means for you.
Audrey M. Diop is the Director of Public Health Insurance Initiatives for the NYC HRA’s Office of Citywide Health Insurance Access (OCHIA) which expands access to public and private health insurance coverage for NYC residents and small businesses. To that end, OCHIA developed NYC Health Insurance Link, www.nyc.gov/hilink, a web tool that allows small business owners and individuals to compare costs and benefits of private health insurance plans, screen themselves for public health insurance, and stay updated on health care reform. Prior to her current position, Ms. Diop was the Communications Manager for the Mayor’s Office of Health Insurance Access. A Manhattan native, Ms. Diop holds a Master’s in Public Administration from Baruch College.
