Share

September 30, 2013

Program Locations:

Stephen A. Schwarzman Building, Astor Hall
For all ages

Eric Carle, beloved creator of The Very Hungry Caterpillar and a host of other best-selling children’s works, will be signing copies of his new book, FRIENDS, on Monday, Sept. 30 from 10:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at The New York Public Library’s Stephen A. Schwarzman Building on Fifth Avenue and 42nd Street.

The upbeat picture book by the acclaimed author and artist centers around a spunky young boy who braves currents, mountains, and rain before, finally, reuniting with a friend who moved away.

The book – published by Penguin Group USA – is not in stores until November 19, but a limited number will be available for purchase exclusively at The Library Shop during the signing, which will take place in Astor Hall, right through the Library’s Fifth Avenue entrance.
