Films at the Schomburg: 4 Little Girls

Join the Schomburg Center as we remember the significant 50th anniversary of the bombing of the 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama on Sunday, September 15, 1963 and honor the memory of the four little girls with a screening of the 1997 Spike Lee’s Academy award Nominated historical documentary. The screening will be followed by a conversation with filmmaker Spike Lee and Schomburg director Khalil Gibran Muhammad. 

This event is part of Mississippi Goddam: Commemorating the 50th Anniversary of Landmark Events in the Civil Rights Movement, a special Schomburg programming series celebrating the 50th Anniversary of some of the most memorable landmark events of the Civil Rights Movement from 1963-1965.
