Summer Arts Intensive Instrumental students session

 The 43 mixed Middle School and High School level students and 2 teachers in the Insutrmental Music program of the Department of Education's Summer Arts Intensive spent the morning learning how to locate materials for their voice types for auditions, performance, etc.Karen Burke and Paul Greenhaw (Music Division) and Barbara Stratyner showed them how to use the Song Index and Bibliocommon to loate material in the Circulating Collections and Music Division.  The group also spent time in the Flamenco and American Sabor exhibitions.  students were able to register or renew NYPL cards and take out materials before the noon public openings.   NB: Middle school in NYC can span 5 - 8 grades so we are estimating ages to distinguish Children from Young Adults.
