NEW YORK WRITERS WORKSHOP PRESENTS: WRITING FOR CHILDREN IN THE 21 CENTURY

Share

June 20, 2013

Program Locations:

St. Agnes Library

Instructor: Allison Estes

Children's books today are not your grandfather's bedtime stories. Learn how the market has evolved, and how to adapt your ideas in order to survive and even succeed in the "bunny-eat-bunny" world of children's publishing.

Allison Estes grew up playing on Faulkner's grave. She has written numerous titles for children and adults, and teaches writing workshops to adults and teens through various venues. She has a grown daughter and a young son, and when the grave of a famous author is not available, she can be found playing softball in Central Park.
