Co-sponsored by the Community Service Society, the Brotherhood/Sister Sol, The Nation, the Ethical Culture Society, the Police Reform Organizing Project, and the Schomburg Center, this mayoral candidates' forum will focus on such significant matters as: the merits and effectiveness of NYPD practices like stop and frisk, conditions on Riker’s Island, available re-entry services for formerly incarcerated persons, and the legal proceedings and culture that guide the operations of our courts.

All mayoral candidates have been invited to present their perspectives and to think about such vital concerns as public safety, civil liberties, and social and racial justice. The forum is open to all and free.
