Films at Schomburg: You Are Not Alone

Terrie M. Williams, mental health activist and author of Black Pain: It Just Looks Like We're Not Hurting presentsYou Are Not Alone, a powerful film which explores high rates of depression among Black gay men and exposes the raw truths behind their devastatingly silent pain. The film is produced by NYABJ Award winner, journalist and national gay mental health activist Antoine B. Craigwell with re-enactments directed by NAACP Image Award winner Stanley Bennett Clay.

Following the screening, there will be a talk back discussion with the following panelists:

Lee Daniels, 
Academy Award nominated film director for the movie Precious;
Antoine Craigwell, journalist and producer of You Are Not Alone;
Jeff Gardere, Ph.D., television personality, and practicing psychologist
Nathan Hale Williams, film and Television producer;
Patrick Riley, journalist;
Tanya Odums, LCSW-R, Assistant Principal & Mental Health Therapist.

Co-presented by Depressed Black Gay Men (DBGM).
