| Homer Wells was a child without parents. Larch was a man without children. Theirs was an extraordinary bond. At the orphanage, Larch taught Homer everything about being a doctor, but nothing about right and wrong. All Homer really wanted was the one thing Larch could not give him: rules to live by.
