Story Time - Grandma and the Great Gourd

The Library Shop at The New York Public Library is pleased to present author Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni and illustrator Susy Pilgrim Waters together for the first time! They will be reading and signing their new book Grandma and the Great Gourd in The Library Shop on Wednesday, May 8 at 2 PM.

Chitra Divakaruni's first book in the Brotherhood of the Conch series, The Conch Bearer, was a Publishers Weekly Best Book of the Year, and a Booklist Editors' Choice. She teaches Creative Writing at the University of Houston. 

Susy Pilgrim Waters is an illustrator, designer, and painter. She has created murals for the New York City Public Library. This is her first picture book.
