Event Details

Alice Rosenman and Kim McGarvey from the Pacella Parent Child Center will give a talk for nannies and babies (not yet walking). The topic will be on how to understand the difference between self-assertion and aggression in nearly mobile babies. The presenters will give suggestions on how to keep exploring babies safe, while avoiding   struggles and helping them feel successful. There will be a Q&A after the talk.

The Pacella Parent Child Center provides small groups for mothers and their babies and toddlers. The mothers’ group is a professionally led discussion group and the children’s socialization group has a high child/adult ratio. The groups help mothers develop confidence in their own parenting abilities and learn to attune to their own individual child. Alice Rosenman, MS, LCSW, is the Program Coordinator and parent group leader, and Kim McGarvey, MSW is a Child Development Specialist.

Because there will not be childcare available, we can only accommodatebabies who are not yet walking.  There is a limit of 20 children and their caregivers. Please pre-register in person or by phone at 212-288-5049. Registration opens on Thursday, April 4.
