Speaking Easy, Living Hard: Music of the Prohibition Era

An evening hosted by composer, band leader, and founder of the famed Jazz Age Lawn Party Michael Arenella, exploring the spirited nightlife and aesthetic of the Jazz Age in 1920’s New York City and its resurgence today amongst a new generation of flappers.
This program is part of a new series, RHAPSODIC CITY: MUSIC OF NEW YORK devoted to exploring some of the unique musical stories of the 20th century.
