Drawing People and Places with teaching artist Josh Millis. For adults ages 55+

We are very excited to offer an 10 week drawing course with a professional instructor! This drawing workshop will be an investigation in the subject of the figure in a setting. Through incremental activities that focus on figure drawing, including the use of professional models and the spaces those figures occupy, participants will develop a full sense of space and psychology in a drawing – not just a model on a blank page. Their more developed drawings will focus on the space as much as the figurative presence.

Class meets Fridays 2:00-4:30 pm from March 8th through May 10th 2013. Participants must be able to attend all sessions!

Registration is required, and participants will be selected by lottery -- Stop by the second floor from February 15th-22nd to enter your name! Only students whose names are drawn will be contacted.

On May 17th there will be a culminating gallery opening and reception for family, friends, and the public!

This Lifetime Arts Program is supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services, Westchester Library System, AARP Foundation, American Library Association, New York State Council of the Arts, and the Helen Andrus Benedict Foundation
