Fresh, Bold, and So Def Women in Hip-Hop

Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture
In celebration of Women's History Month this program will highlight the contributions and achievements of women in hip-hop through media, performances, and a panel discussion.
Performances by: Genesis Be, FM Supreme, and Rapsody
Films: Who's That Girl: Women of Color & Hip Hop (17 min).
Panel discussion: Martha Diaz (moderator), Nuala Cabral, Dr. Brittney Cooper, DJ Beverly Bond, B-Girl Rokafella and Piper Carter.
Presented by the Schomburg Center's Hip-Hop 4.0 Initiative in conjunction with The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts and its Rhapsodic City: Music of New York series.
