Memorializing American Slavery

Please join us for an afternoon symposium commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture. In remembrance of the enslaved, we will examine American Slavery as historical memory and national legacy. Presentations by distinguished historians will be followed by a dynamic discussion with the audience.
