Here a Story Award

Girl Scout Troop 5134 worked with Information Assistants, Miss Lauren and Miss Sarah, to earn the Hear a Story Award badge. The girls learned that stories hold clues for how to better the world. They listened to interactive stories and worked together to find clues in those stories that represent change and brainstormed how they can apply it to their own community. The girls then put their ideas to good use and created their own bookmarks which stated their own personal goals to better their community. The bookmarks serve as a reminder for what they want to accomplish and how reading will help spark their imagination, creativity, and help them learn about one and other.
