The program is being made possible through the support of the New York Council of the Humanities--Speakers in the Humanities program.  Brian Rose, a Professor in the Department of Commication & Media Studies at Fordham University will discuss the forces that made Hollywood the giant of world film-making, and the special nature of its achievements during its Golden Age.  Clips from movies will be part of the lecture.
