Leo (Gilbert) and Ulrich (Lars Hanson) have been best friends since childhood, when they even made a blood pact to stay so forever. Bunk mates in the German military, where they have five months left to serve, their friendship is tested when Leo meets a mysterious and beautiful young woman named Felicitas von Rhaden (Garbo.) Their meeting sets off a love triangle, ultimately ending in death.
