Getting Published Is As Easy As 1,2,3---
:Jenny Milchman

Students will receive an overview of today’s three main paths to publication: major house, small press, and self-published. The pros and cons of each will be explored. Writers will learn what it means for their work to be submission- or publication-ready, and how to reach this status through critique groups, developmental editing, and revision. Finally, we will touch on how marketing and promotion differ depending on which path a writer takes. While getting published really isn't easy, of course, this course will describe some of the obstacles to publication—and how they can be surmounted.
