Writing for Children in the 21st Century with Allison Estes
Whether you’re talking about baby books, picture books or teen novels, children’s books today are not your grandmother’s bedtime stories! Learn how the market for children’s fiction has evolved and give your stories the “spank of life” in this group workshop for those interested in writing for children. Participants may bring manuscripts in progress to the workshop.
Allison Estes grew up playing on Faulkner’s grave. She has written more than a dozen books for young readers, and teaches multi-genre writing workshops for adults and teens at various venues. Her latest book is Paw & Order: Dramatic Investigations by an Animal Cop on the Beat (adult non-fiction). Learn more at allisonestes.com
