Be A New York City Poet!

Join the New York Public Library and Teachers & Writers Collaborative for a poetry writing workshop in which children will create their own poetic tributes to our city. The workshop is part of a series being held in libraries across the five boroughs, and the poems written in the sessions will be collected and published in an anthology in 2013.

This workshop builds on Teachers & Writers Collaborative's earlier NYC poetry workshops with young people. Work written in those workshops has been adapted into a singe narrative called A Poem as Big as New York City, which Rizzoli will publish in Fall 2012.
