Educators are invited to come to the Schomburg for a dynamic day of professional development designed to support teachers as they commemorate the 150th Anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation in their classrooms this year. The day features a keynote lecture by Dr. Yohuru Williams of Fairfield University, guided tours of the Schomburg's new exhibition Visualizing Emancipation curated by Deb Willis of New York University, and primary source curriculum materials from the Schomburg's collections.  Registration required.  Email schomburged@nypl.org to reserve your seat.
