Introduction to Western Philosophy

This six-part free course Introduces the student to Western Philosophy.  We will study the major thinkers and their texts and ask the questions essential to understanding human existence.
 
The course meets Saturdays:
  • September 15
  • September 22
  • Septmeber 29
  • October 13
  • October 20
  • October 27

2pm to 4pm

Come hungry to think!

Sign up early to receive the required reading!  Sign up begins Saturday, September 8 at 10am on the 2nd floor, in-person.  All textbooks and handouts will be provided free - we will check them out to you with your library card!
 
 
The Philosophers:  Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Descartes, Hume, Kant, Hegel.
