Share

October 4, 2012

Program Locations:

New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Center, Bruno Walter Auditorium

A special tribute to the legendary film comedian
Written and produced by Ron MacCloskey

As a performer, writer, producer, and director, Jerry Lewis has been involved in films, radio, television, nightclubs, and Broadway.  Jerry Lewis: He Makes Me Laugh tells this story through live actors and audio and video clips that include commentary from friends, co-stars, filmmakers, and critics.

A biographical thread highlighting Lewis’ work will show how he started in the entertainment business with a "record act;” met and partnered with Dean Martin; and launched a career as a solo artist. It also shows him as a renowned humanitarian who has raised billions for The Muscular Dystrophy Association.
