The Dance Historian Is In: Screening #2

Program Locations:
New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Center, Jerome Robbins Dance Division
David Vaughan, dance historian and archivist of the Merce Cunningham Dance Company, as well as the author of Frederick Ashton and His Ballets, will introduce and screen Ashton's La Fille Mal Gardée, from the 1962 BBC-TV telecast directed by Margaret Dale. The video features the original Royal Ballet cast, headed by Nadia Nerina as Lise, David Blair as Colin, and Stanley Holden as the Widow Simone.
The screening will take place in the third floor screening room at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts.
SEATING IS LIMITED AND WILL BE ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE BASIS.
