Please join us on Wednesday, February 25 at 7 p.m. for Werner Herzog's "Aguirre, The Wrath of God" (1972, 93 min). The screening will take place in the first floor Corner Room of the Mid-Manhattan Library and will be followed by a brief discussion. A full schedule of the Films of Werner Herzog series is available online at: bit.ly/herzog-nypl.

"Quiet and atmospheric, creepy and grisly, drenched in both equatorial sunshine and scarlet blood—the film is startlingly powerful as it subtly examines themes of imperialism, corporate greed and ultimately personal madness."
— Rich Cline, Shadows on the Wall
