Word Rapport: *New Date* Word Rapport: Harry Belafonte's My Song
March 14, 2012
Program Locations:
Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, Langston Hughes Auditorium
The Schomburg kicks off its new season of Word Rapport: building bridges and relationships between authors, books and YOU.
Join actor, author, and activist Harry Belafonte as he discusses his new memoir, My Song, with Schomburg Director Khalil Gibran Muhammad. Harry Belafonte is not just one of the greatest entertainers of our time; he has led one of the great American lives of the last century. In My Song, Mr. Belafonte tells us the story of his life, giving us its full breadth, letting us share in the struggles, the tragedies, and, most of all, the inspiring triumphs.
Free! For registration, go to www.schomburgcenter.eventbrite.com or call (212) 491-2040.
