Share

April 27, 2011

Program Locations:

Stephen A. Schwarzman Building, South Court Auditorium

For this event, Howard Besser, Director of NYU’s Moving Image Archiving and Preservation program, will speak about media preservation.  The talk will be followed by a screening of video clips from the collections at NYPL’s Library for the Performing Arts, many of which were preserved by the library’s moving image preservation specialists and audio preservation engineers.

This event is part of Preservation Week, a national effort to educate our communities on caring for personal collections and to bring attention to the preservation work of libraries and archives. For more information, visit the Preservation Week site.
