LECTURE AND AWARD CEREMONY Honoring Women Who Dedicate Their Lives to Helping Others

In keeping with Dr. Betty Shabazz’s expression, “find the good and praise it,” Women In Islam, Inc. invites you to the 6th Annual Dr. Betty Shabazz Memorial Lecture and Award Ceremony. We take this opportunity to honor the legacy of Dr. Betty Shabazz and celebrate dynamic women leaders of all backgrounds and faiths. Past honorees have included Kadiatou Diallo, Ruby Dee, Patricia Gatling, Aminah McCloud, and Azizah Y. Al-Hibri. This year we will honor Ingrid Mattson, President of the Islamic Society of North America/ISNA. Also, two Compass Awards are given to women who forge a clear direction for communities in New York City.
