Workshop In Motion: A Teacher's Workshop
Program Locations:
If you are a teacher or an educator, don't miss a special preview of In Motion: The African-American Migration Experience, the Website and the exhibition. Come and get ready for Black History Month and bring your students the stories about the migration experiences that have shaped African-American culture in this country and the African Diaspora. To register, call (212) 491-2040 by Friday, January 20 at 5 p.m. Attendees will receive a discount coupon for the In Motion: The African-American Migration Experience Black History Month Kit ($24.95), a special educational tool for students, teachers, scholars, and the general public with full color photographs, illustrations, maps, a poster, a bibliography, and a study guide. There are two workshops: one at 3 p.m. and another at 5 p.m.
The In Motion: The African-American Migration Experience Website was made possible by a grant from the Congressional Black Caucus administered by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
