Porgy and Bess: The First Revival

Porgy and Bess was not a popular success when it premiered in 1935. Cheryl Crawford's version, produced in 1942, helped earn the work its lasting reputation. Singers Kimberly Jones and Leon Williams will perform songs from the musical. The program will include commentary about the 1942 production.
