Sigfrido Duarte was born in San Francisco de Marcoris, Dominican Republic. A self-taught painter he followed his instinct in the use of materials and techniques, on canvas, wood or crystals tinted with acrylics or oils. "It reflects a form of expression without the confinements of words." Duarte uses fine arts to express ideas and concepts of the human spirit in symbols abstract or real. The Voices of America exhibit runs from May 1st, 2013 through July 1st, 2013.
