The Return of "Mad Men"

Share

March 29 through June 27, 2013

Program Locations:

Mid-Manhattan Library, Picture Collection

The wait between seasons 5 and 6 was not nearly as long as the wait between season 4 and 5.  To celebrate the return of Mad Men the Picture Collection at the Mid-Manhattan Library presents an exhibition of materials depicting the style and design of the 1960s.

Vintage advertisements, office and home interiors, family life, social life. Now through the end of the season you can see all of this and more, with displays that change as the season progresses. Stop in each week to see what's new!

Whether you're doing research or you're just curious, the Picture Collection has you covered!

The Picture Collection, located on the third floor of the Mid-Manhattan Library, contains well over one million original prints, photographs, posters, postcards, and illustrations from books, magazines, and newspapers, classified alphabetically into over 12,000 different subject headings.  With a New York Public Library card users may borrow up to 60 pictures at a time on any subject.

For more Mad Men you can always check the Library's catalog, the Library's blog posts, and the Picture Collection's Pinterest board.
