As 2013 draws to a close--and 2014 begins with a bang--we women artists celebrate the joy of family, friends, community--and the future.
The new year marks the 125th anniversary of N.A.W.A., the pioneer association of women artists, founded by five women artists here in New York City on January 31, 1889.
We twenty-first century women artists proudly continue the initiative our foremothers began as we come to commemorate our quasquicentennial Anniversary (yes, it is a word--look it up on the web)!

N.A.W.A. has evolved and now represents over 800 professional women artists across the United States.
