Mulberry Street Library is proud to present works by Muriel Taub Glanztman on display in the Adult Reading Room through February 28, 2014.

Artist's Statement - "I start my work without a preconceived idea. Spontaneity is an important part of my creative process. It is similar to improvisation in jazz music; one responds to the color, line, and form emotionally. Occasionally, I enlarge some of my drawings and incorporate them into acrylic or collage paintings. My work is influenced by art as varied as Indian paintings, Persian miniatures, Russian icons, and 14th and 15th century Italian illuminations. Through my art I want to give expression to my life and current times with the vitality and drama shown in those paintings."
