Watercolor paintings by Karuna S. Chak chronicle expressions of New York from September 2001 to March 2002. The paintings show her exact and composed placements of mood and place during the time line.  Three paintings done in 2000 reminds the viewer of New York’s vitality.  Born in 1929 in India, her teaching carrier started in 1952 and spans over 50 years of teaching Hindi, History, Mathematics and Fine Arts.  She currently teaches art in New Delhi at Mirambika School.
