Daytime and Weekend Classes
English language classes are taught in a welcoming environment, facilitated by professional teachers and volunteer tutors. We offer a resource-rich learning community with level-appropriate print materials, high-interest multi-media instruction using the We Are New York television series, and state of the art computer labs with software programs including Rosetta Stone for both group and individual study.
Classes are held year-round in four 10-week cycles: Fall (mid September), Winter (end of January), Spring (early April) and Summer (end of June). Classes meet two days each week, for two hours each day. Classes are for beginning, intermediate, and advanced level students. You must attend an information session to register for classes.

Evenings/Saturday Classes
English language classes are available at selected libraries in the Bronx, Manhattan and Staten Island in association with the Riverside Language Program These classes address the varying needs and ability levels of students with an emphasis on speaking English. During the course of the program, students are signed up for library cards; receive an orientation to the library’s services, collections and programs that support ESOL student and independent learner needs.
Classes are held three times a year (Fall (mid September), Winter (early January), and Spring (early April) and are for beginner and intermediate levels only. Classes meet two evenings each week for 2.5 hours each night. Saturday morning classes meet each week for four hours. Registration is drawn by lot.
