A Summer Reading Kick-Off Celebration. Children will be wowed and amazed at the sleight of hand tricks and the comedic talents of Children's Magician Evan Paquette. Evan holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Theater and uses magic to both entertain and promote learning. As a special treat, after the 40 minute interactive magic show, Evan leads a short hands-on workshop for the kids to test their own magical abilities. Recommended for children ages 4 to 8 years old. 2 p.m.Heroes on Camera: International Center of Photography Introductory Workshop
Kick off your summer with the International Center of Photography's Heroes on Camera Workshops! During the session, teens will use cameras supplied by the NYPL to learn the basics of digital photography and capture their unique perspectives.
