This class is full, however interested Senior Citizens may be placed on the standby list. Enjoy creative journey to explore the interrelationship between collage and painting. Students will make paintings and collages with a focus on colors and the moods they evoke. Students will learn painting techniques, and collage composition.

6:30 p.m.Serving the Country: Women in Service During World War II
In commemoration of Women's History Month, Lincoln Hallowell will discuss Navy WAVES (Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service) and the duties performed by these brave women at Floyd Bennett Field, a Naval Air Station in Brooklyn, New York. Mr. Hallowell is a National Park Service Ranger at the Gateway Recreation Area, Jamaica Bay Unit. Presented in conjunction with the Roosevelt Island Historical Society and its president, Judith Berdy.
