Children of all ages are welcomed to take over the library! School Aged children join each other in playing classic Board Games, creating pieces using art supplies. While toddlers and preschoolers can play with building blocks, puzzles or toys that encourage sensory motor and development skills.

2 p.m.20 minute One on One Reading Help for Reluctant Readers
Reluctant readers/English Language learners from Ages 4- 12 and their parents are invited to sign up for an individual session with the children's librarian for reading help. The children's librarian will sit with parent and child and recommend them appropriate titles and practice reading aloud. Children and librarian will create their own life size board game loosely inspired by Candyland. Using large poster paper, children will paint and laminate various stations around the library to illustrate different levels in the game. Children will get an introduction to Urban Planning and learn about the history of children's board games in the United States.

Children will create their own Duck Stick Puppets using cotton or tissue paper, glue, construction paper, popsicle sticks & googly eyes. We will sing the song 6 Little Ducks & take our duck puppets for a swim. We will end with everyone helping to tell the musical story/song The Little White Duck. For children ages 5 and older. Presented by Navida Stein.

5 p.m.Zumba with Miriam
Zumba is a mixture of merengue, salsa, cha-cha, cumbia, reggaeton dance mixed with exercise conducted by Miriam. Zumba provides an effective total workout where you can lose body fat, gain muscle, improve posture, alignment and balance and feel more energetic! Participants should wear loose clothing or shorts and sneakers. Miriam is a Zumba certified instructor, AFFA group class instructor and ISSA personal trainer.
