2:30 p.m.Harlem Remembered: plays, poems and songs from the Harlem Renaissance by Xoregos Performing Company
The Xoregos Performing Company presents plays, poems and songs from the Harlem Renaissance. Included are two 1927 one acts: the premiere of Marita Bonner's Exit, an Illusion and Eulalie Spence's The Hunch. Poems by Langston Hughes and Georgia Douglas Johnson, songs by Ellington, Gershwin and others complete the seventy minute dynamic Harlem Remembered. Shela Xoregos directs and Clark Baxtresser is Music Director.
