There was an old man with a beard
While cooking chicken it got seared
He cooled the hair with his beer
While his friends gathered near

Oh, what a site they saw
Surrounding the old mans jaw
They helped him conceal is face
And got dinner back on pace

The group settled down to eat
With chicken and bread of wheat
Their dessert was yummy grilled pears
When finished they lay back in their chairs.

They shared stories of old
And the future they foretold
The evening came to a pleasant end
The old man looked forward to next weekend
