Thank you for your inquiry regarding the availability of downloadable books for children. You can browse a wide selection of titles for children by selecting the "Browse Children's" option on the left-hand side of the eNYPL page: http://ebooks.nypl.org/EF718DF0-F61E-4447-BAA3-A5D819B97265/10/257/en/De... - hosted by Overdrive.
It is true that publishers have released a much larger number of titles for Adults - however the selections for children are growing rapidly. You will be able to find Judy Moody, Boxcar Children and much more. We have also noticed that some titles are released in only one format to start with. For example the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books are available for Mp3 devices - we hope these titles become available for other devices as well - very soon.
Ivy an Bean titles are available for Kindle devices. Amazon just came to an agreement with public libraries this Fall so you will be seeing the selection of Kindle titles building rapidly.
I hope your children have fun browsing for e-books - and don't hesitate to let us know if we have missed a title - the selections are growing exponentially!
