Notes: Launched in December 2010, the Collections Portal enables Web visitors to discover ever-larger portions of the Museum’s collection. Currently includes over 60,000 images from its photography collection and will eventually offer the entire collection, including decorative arts, maps, paintings, costumes, and more as more content is digitized and cataloged. Also includes over 22,000 photographs of New York City and its environs taken by the Byron Company between 1890 and 1942.
