As of August 2010, following the purchase of LACE Financial, Kroll Bond Ratings is recognized by the SEC as a Nationally Recognized Statistical Rating Organization in competition with Standard & Poor’s, Moody’s and Fitch.

Because of the relation to LACE, the KBR service includes ratings of more than 15000 bank holding companies, commercial and savings banks, savings and loans and credit unions, as well as corporate and sovereign bonds.
