New York Landmarks Conservancy
The Landmarks conservancy is a nationally recognized organization, which helps owners of older buildings. The site links to a list of preservation firms, which support the work of the conservancy and many links to New York preservation pages and organizations. Preservation League of New York State
The Preservation League of New York State is dedicated to the protection of New York's diverse and rich heritage of historic buildings, districts, and landscapes. It actively encourages historic preservation by public and private organizations, agencies, and individuals in local communities throughout New York State and provides the united voice for historic preservation.

A not-for-profit corporation providing space on the World Wide Web for Historic Preservation and Environmental Protection Organizations. Good links to Walking Tours given in Manhattan. Preservation alerts given for buildings in jeopardy.

Friends of the Upper East Side
Home page for the Friends of the Upper East Side. This group encompasses five historic districts: Upper East Side, Metropolitan Museum Historic District, Carnegie Hill Historic District, Treadwell Farm Historic District and Henderson Place Historic District. The site is supported by Preserve and Protect.

Greenwich Village Society for Historic Preservation
Community organization founded in 1980 to preserve the architectural and cultural history of the Village. The site includes information about preservation leadership, public programs, education, preservation awards and a history of the village.

Landmark West!
Landmark West! Is a non-profit community group working to preserve the best of the Upper West Side. Newsletter of this group published on-line. Great map of all the current and hopefully future landmark buildings, monuments, etc. on the Upper West Side.
