Collections: Lifelong Learning

Each branch has a Lifelong Learning Collection geared for English-speaking adult new readers and persons learning English (ESOL). This collection supports persons learning English from a number of native languages, including preparation for US Citizenship exam. The materials reflect topics of adult interest written at a beginning reader level and designed to encourage the development of reading, vocabulary and pronunciation skills.

The collection includes fiction and non-fiction titles, for instance books on career planning, child care, citizenship, driver license preparation, US history, biographies, learning English as a second language books, as well as audio and video cassettes.
