ABOUT THE COLLECTION
Comprised of illustrations from books, newspapers
and magazines as well as photographs, prints
and postcards, the Picture Collection is
a visual resource, encyclopedic in scope
and arranged by subject.
Since its establishment in 1914, it has
provided inspiration and visual information
for a broad range of endeavors - commercial
art, mass market publishing, advertising,
fashion design, film, theater and popular
entertainment.
