The New York Public Library’s Job Search Central provides up-to-date information for anyone interested in looking for a job, researching careers, or exploring a career change. This includes materials on different careers, resume writing, job search strategies, and self exploration.

• Free Saturday Workshop Series
• Databases for employment and education (including some available from home with your Library card!)

• Pathfinders and Research Guides for Job Seekers
• 12,000 books and other resources for job searching, resume writing, and career exploration
• Directories of potential employers in all parts of the country
• Study handbooks and databases for civil service and professional exams

SMALL BUSINESS CONSULTATIONS

SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives Association) sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration are available for free consultations at the Job Information Center on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11 am to 7 pm. Appointments may be made at (212) 340-0968 or 340-0836.
